Whilst we would encourage participants to attend the arranged training sessions, we appreciate that this may not be possible and so we have provided for those members who may wish to compete at the competition however cannot make the training sessions.

We hope to see as many of our Junior/ Senior and Masters members compete at the competition. Don’t forget that if you have ambition to make the national squad then it is necessary to compete in both the stillwater and open water competitions to accumulate the necessary points to qualify for the national squad.

Sligo Surflifesaving was privileged to have two of its’ members, Joseph Mooney and Matt McGarrigle represent Ireland at the World Championships in France over the summer and we would hope to have more of our members achieve qualification for the national squad to represent Ireland and Sligo Surflifesaving at international level.
